Women-owned businesses are slightly increasing in the economics of almost all countries. The hidden entrepreneurial potential of women has gradually been changing with the growing sensitivity to the role and economic status in society. It means women have the potential, skill, knowledge, and adaptability to run a business successfully. Obaasima Business Challenge is here to expose women to job opportunities and to be their own entrepreneurs.

Obaasima Business Challenge 2nd edition focuses on building a sustainable business through the economic empowerment of women. Obaasima Business Challenge is an initiative by Wan-Hive Ghana to create job opportunities for women through entrepreneurship. 

WAN-HIVE Ghana is an impact-oriented innovation space for sustainable mentorship and education of young women to take an active part in leadership, entrepreneurship, and social development.

The launch will take place on February 10th at Idea Hotel, Fiapre exactly at 10:00 am GMT. The program will be graced by impactful personalities who have changed many lives in the field of business and other fields.

 These personalities include; Janat Issifu Founder and CEO Wan-Hive Ghana, Fati Bamba, Regional Director National Youth Authority, ING. Herbert K. Abeka, Executives Director Bejsfel Construction LTD, Shadrach Abreta Mensa, Regional Director Youth Employment Agency, Herty Fosuaa Forson, State Attorney and Regional Head of Registrar, General’s Department, Assistant Registrar, Dr. Peter Appiahene, Head of Computer Science and Informatics Department – UENR, Founder & CEO, CY Technologies & Consulting – Ghana, Ranti Adjaku, CEO, Golden Intellectual Schools Public Teachers, Akolbire A. Anthony Regional Manager, Ghana Enterprise Agency Bono Region, Joycelyn All Regional Director Department of Gender Bono Ahafo Region and George Antwi – Boasiako – CEO AGRICO HUB Bono East Region.

The public is invited to participate in the launching as well as socialize.
