5th Young Entrepreneur summit 2021 come off today December 16
5th Young Entrepreneur summit 2021 is set to come off today December 16, 9:00 am, at Africa Trade House, Accra under the theme Amplify the voice and support of young women and SME business AfCFTA implementation.
This program is organized by Ghana Startup Network in collaboration with other partners to empower youth and women in Entrepreneurship. This event preceding the Young Entrepreneur Awards will have Marie Providence Mugangu a Gender and Trade Expert, AFCFTA Secretariat as speaker of the keynote under the theme”Youth, women and SMEs trading beyond borders; The AfCFTA Opportunities.
The event also comes in Four(4) different sessions with different experts from various fields to educate and expose us to the world of business. This session is explained as;
1st Parallel Session
Students entrepreneurship: A Panacea for youth unemployment.
The first parallel session will be represented by impactful personalities in the field of student Entrepreneurship. These personalities are; Bright Aferi, CEO Hill Bill Shoes, Peter Kodjie, Secretary-General, All Africa Students Union, Seasoned media Personality, Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey Santana of Okay FM, Kayo Tours, Gonaya Money Sephora, Appointed Director, General Economics Development Institution of Ghana & Botswana as the moderator. The theme for this session will be, Students entrepreneurship: A Panacea for youth unemployment.
The second parallel session, Food Security and Decent Job Creation Through Agriculture: The Case of Ghanaian Youth
The second parallel session of the summit will be graced by experts in the field of Agricultural sectors, these experts are; Bernard Oduro Takyi, CEO Omanbapa Ghana, Ivy Wereh CEO Cafe Magnifica, Nii Ofoli Yartey CEO Twin River Farms, Enock Nana Yaw Oduro( TRIGMATIC) CEO Kent Bwired as the moderator and generally to be hosted by Solomon Adjei, Executive Director, Ghana Network.
The parallel session”2″ of the summit will focus on the theme ” Food Security and Decent Job Creation Through Agriculture: The Case of Ghanaian Youth”. This session will impact knowledge in youth involvement in Agribusiness as decent work, ensuring food security for all.
3rd parallel session, Conducive policies for business starting and scalability
This session will focus on the topic” Conducive policies for business starting and scalability”. This session gives more opportunities to able people who want to meet mentors and learn from their startup business and their way forward. These noble speakers for this session include; Gills Ametepe, Srn. Partner policy & Institutional Relations Ghana for Startup, Lawyer Domtie Afua Sarpong, Principal State Attorney and
Assistant Registrar, Registrar General’s Dept. Ibrahim Hussein Banice, Program Officer, Climate Agenda Youth Bridge Foundation, and Justice Offei Jur, Founder AFED as the moderator.
Parallel 4 session, Empowering the lady Entrepreneur to trade beyond borders
Globalization and women empowerment is improving as time goes by. The fourth session will delt deeper into “Empowering the lady Entrepreneur to trade beyond borders”. Have you ever wondered about the challenges of women entrepreneurs, and how they can be empowered to trade beyond borders. This session will help you clear your thoughts and motivate you to do your best. This session will be done by Entrepreneurs like; Victoria Naashika Quaye, CEO Naaviq Company Limited, Bob Hawkson, CEO, Shelta, Mr. Abraham Mensah Belley Investment Manager, Venture Capital, and Emmanuel Ansah Amprofi, CEO Trotro Tractor as the moderator for this discussion.
Plenary session 1, Youth and women participation; The role of national institutions
The first plenary session of the summit will be honored by experts in the field of entrepreneurship, these experts are; Mrs. Kosi Yankey – Aryeh, Executive Director, Ghana Enterprise Agency, Pius Enam Hadzide, Chief Executive Officer, Nation Youth Authority Ghana, Hajia Abibata Shanni Mahama, Chief Executive Officer Mosaic, Mrs. Agnes Gifty Adgei – Sam, Director of Marketing Ghana Export Promotion Authority, Franklin Owusu Karikari, Director of programs, National Entrepreneurship & Innovations program as the moderator and generally to be hosted by Solomon Adjei, Executive Director, Ghana Network.
This session will let you know the roles the various national institutions are playing to ensure that youth, women, and SMEs can trade or maximize the benefits of the African Continental Free Trade Area.
2 Plenary session Drafting the AFCFTA Protocol on youth and women; Key stakeholder dialogue.
The session continues to impact more with great themes to equip participants. This session theme will look into “Drafting the AFCFTA Protocol on youth and women; Key stakeholder dialogue”.
