Coders Who Travel Inc. (CWT), a 501(c)(3) United-States Non-Profit Organization operating in Ghana under a subsidiary Non-Government Organization: Coders Page Inc. (CP). partnered with Microsoft and AMEND Foundation to deliver the Establishing Technology Footprints for the Advancement of Agribusinesses series of workshops in the Ahafo region (Kukuom) on Saturday, November 6th, 2021 from 9 AM to 7.30 PM GMT.

The event had an in-person component as well as an online component. 6 Members of Coders Page Inc. traveled from Accra to Kukuom to make this event a reality. 30 students from Kukuom Agricultural Senior High School were in attendance alongside some 8 local Entrepreneurs. Two weeks before the November 6th, 2021 series of workshops, the three partners – CWT, Microsoft and AMEND Foundation – also hosted a virtual series of workshops on October 23rd, 2021 from 3 PM – 8.00 PM GMT.

AMEND Founder, Hon. Ing. Kobby Amoa-Mensah announced a 5,000 GHS seed capital for the Students. Six members of Coders Page traveled 20 plus hours from Accra to Kukuom (round trip) and served as bridge-builders on the ground during the workshops. They broke things down to the inhabitants of Kukuom where necessary as well as served as the hands and feet of the most American and Ghanaian Trainers.

Students when interviewed shared how inspired they were to consider Agribusiness ventures and leverage Technology for the evolution of such businesses.

The Founder of Coders Who Travel Inc. and Coders Page Inc.- Afia Owusu-Forfie – brought the first branch of the global non-profit organization: Women Who Code Inc. to Accra in November 2015 and has been featured in the Huffington Post, Class CNBC Italy, and Innovation Post. Women Who Code-Accra has been featured in the British Broadcasting Corporation Africa segment.

The Founder of AMEND Foundation pitched the need to bring technology education to his constituents to the CWT Founder a couple of years ago as a former Assembly Member and the 2020 NPP Flagbearer of the Asunafo South District.

The Microsoft Partner Representative: Karla Villalobos is a Community Development Specialist who rallied two coworkers to be Associate Trainers as well as writers of encouragement letters to inspire the Youth.
