Barcamp Takoradi 2023 networks quality youth in the twin-cities
Barcamp Takoradi 2023 is a free networking forum bringing people together for a day of learning, sharing, networking and mentoring. The event is on Saturday, 18th November 2023 at the Ghana Shipper’s Authority Conference Hall in Takoradi. The theme is “Finance, Quality, Innovation”.
Sekyibea Ofosu has been to previous editions of Barcamp Takoradi and currently leads the team in Takoradi as the coordinator. She stated: “Barcamp Takoradi over the years has been a platform that has contributed greatly to the network I have now. I’ve met great people whom I have learnt a lot from and continue to learn from. My love for volunteerism has peaked and I hope that other participants of Barcamp Takoradi will take advantage of this opportunity to learn from the mentors and create a beneficial network.”
This Barcamp is organized primarily by the as part of the Barcamp Ghana program. BarCamp Takoradi 2023 will be the 9th BarCamp in Takoradi and it will showcase entrepreneurs and innovators in the Western region. This is organized as part of the Barcamp Ghana program, which is building a network of changemakers, doers and entrepreneurs in Ghana.Since the first one in December 2008 in Accra, and the first one in Takoradi in 2010, there have been over 120 Barcamps in Ghana. This Barcamp will connect and strengthen a community of motivated and aspirational people in the Twin-cities, ultimately benefiting the Western region and Ghana. Participants will learn from, share and network with each other. Thought and business leaders in the region will share insight and inspiration.
“Barcamp Takoradi has been a great changer to me, I have got connections to great personalities I would never have had, and a whole populace of youth of like minded I call family”. This was what Kwesi Koomson had to say about this free networking forum. The #bctdi resources lead added, “I have improved my leadership skills and have become more social than I was. I look forward to a greater Barcamp Takoradi after the Covid break where after the event the youth would become more conscious and aware of opportunities, connections and ready to better up and influence their communities from their own corner out”.
Our speed mentoring session will help participants gain insights and answers to questions. This is via 8 minute conversations where participants (mentees) engage resource personnel.
