WAN-HIVE GHANA AND MTN GHANA EMPOWER OVER 200 SMEs IN SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING
In today’s digital age, social media has become an integral part of our lives, offering a multitude of opportunities and connections. Recognizing the importance of harnessing the power of social media for business growth, MTN GHANA partnered with WAN-HIVE GHANA for the Y’ello Care program in the Ahafo and Bono Region. The program, held on June 15th and 20th, 2022, at Goaso and Wamfie respectively , aimed to support over 200 small scale businesses including fashion designers, traders, beauticians, cosmetologist Agribusiness entrepreneurs, and many more.
WAN-HIVE GHANA provided social media marketing support to participants. This collaboration served as a stepping stone towards empowering local enterprises and enhancing their online presence.

The training focused on how to use social media to enhance Visibility and Reach; with billions of active users on social media platforms, establishing a presence allows businesses to reach a vast audience. The training also focused on how cost-effective social media is; traditional marketing methods often require substantial financial investments. Social media platforms offer cost-effective avenues for businesses to advertise their products or services. The training exposed the participants to how they can use social media to target specific demographics and niche markets. Platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp provide sophisticated targeting options, enabling businesses to tailor their messages and offerings to reach the right audience, thereby maximizing conversions. They can use social media to track the performance of their campaigns, measure engagement levels, and gain valuable data to refine their strategies further and social media can make it very easy to engage build relationship with customers. There was a practical session where participants had a hand on practice with the facilitator and showed them how to use the platforms like WhatsApp Business, TikTok and others to improve their businesses.
