What is WAN-Hive Ghana?
Located in Sunyani Municipal District, WAN-Hive Ghana is a dynamic female-focused innovation space committed to unlocking the potential of young women and girls. Through its diverse programs, it provides access to business development services, investment opportunities, mentorship, and digital training tailored to address the unique challenges women face in Ghana.

Signature Programs Driving Real Impact
Here’s how WAN-Hive Ghana is transforming lives on the ground:
💼 Obaasima Business Challenge (OBC)
Designed to tackle female unemployment, OBC empowers young women with entrepreneurial and digital skills to develop problem-solving businesses. The challenge boosts job creation and expands the number of sustainable female-led enterprises in Ghana.
🚀 Women in Business Accelerator Program (WiBA)
WiBA provides funding support, mentorship, and investor access for female-led businesses. It acknowledges the challenges women face and provides strategic resources to support growth, sustainability, and innovation on their entrepreneurial journey.
💻 Digital Skills Training for Girls
A bi-annual program targeting girls aged 15–20, offering hands-on training in Microsoft Office, internet use, social media, and basic ICT. It’s a bold step toward reducing the gender gap in Ghana’s digital space and preparing girls for academic and career success.
🌾 Women in Agribusiness Support Program
Launched in March 2022, this initiative supports female farmers with mentorship, training, financial strategies, and farming tools. It aims to scale agribusiness innovations, increase productivity, and attract more young women into agriculture through inclusive, tech-enabled farming models.
🛠️ Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET)
The TVET program empowers young women with practical and employable skills across industries such as fashion, food processing, leatherwork, aesthetics, digital marketing, and content creation. It’s designed to bridge the gender gap in entrepreneurship and innovation by preparing women to create jobs and build sustainable careers.
Visionary Leadership: Janat Issifu
At the core of WAN-Hive Ghana is Janat Issifu, an experienced gender activist, mentor, and strategic consultant with deep roots in entrepreneurship and development. With a BSc in Resource Enterprise and Entrepreneurship and an MBA in Strategic Management from KNUST, she brings both business insight and social consciousness to her work.
Janat’s leadership emphasizes innovation, inclusion, and community empowerment. Her vision is clear:
