A Team from Agrico Hub paid a working visit to the Deputy Director of Political Affairs at the office of the Chief of Staff at the Jubilee House.
The visit among other things was to acknowledge the contribution of Mrs. Harriet Kyeremanteng Oppong in the promotion of Education and Entrepreneurship among girls in the Bono East region.
The CEO of Agrico Hub, Mr. George Antwi-Boasiako used the opportunity to encourage Mrs. Oppong to continue to inspire a lot more young girls in the Bono East region who sees her as their role model.
Mrs. Oppong in her remarks reiterated her resolve to support the ongoing digital inclusion agenda especially among young girls in Nkoranza where she comes from. She recognized that indeed there is a wide gap in the participation of women and girls in the digital economy, particularly in rural communities.
Mrs. Oppong asserted that even as she is resolved to support more women and girls to be economically empowered, she wants to call on all stakeholders (private and public) to support the ongoing entrepreneurship and digitization drive as a catalyst for job creation.
“There is the need for a more concerted effort from all stakeholders to join forces with Enterprise Support Agencies like Agrico Hub to build the entrepreneurial capacity of the youth especially women for sustainable job creation”.
The Agrico Hub team indicated that the hub is ready to build the capacity of more women and girls in the Bono East region in the coming days as they continue with their Entrepreneurship and Digitization agenda for 2021 and beyond.
