Smart Innovations wins Gold Prize at 4th Edition of Igniting Dreams 2022
The Coalition for Positive Impact (CPI) in partnership with Noni Hub organized the 4th Edition of the Igniting Dreams 2022 “to identify the best business ventures and support them” to become sustainable enterprises as said by the CEO of Coalition for Positive Impact, Mr. Maazu D. Bayuoni. This year’s event was held under the theme “Creating Wealth through Financial Literacy” with Resource Persons speaking to selected topics on 8th January 2022 at Sem B. Lodge Wa.
Smart Innovations Wa, a digital media company based in the Upper West Region emerged winners after a competitive pitch of five finalists with Favor’s Choice, a cosmetics and liquid soups enterprise being the first runner-up, and Plan B Solutions that create jobs through TVET training winning the People’s Choice. The three startups respectively received a cash prize of GH¢6,000.00, GH¢3,000.000 and Gh¢ 2,500.00 to support their business whiles the other finalists Crockett Khaleesi and Katon Property Consult receive Gh¢1,000.00 business support each.
Smart Innovations Lead for Marketing and Sales Promotions, Miss Atingawaya Tiyetibo Patricia who led her team to victory speaking to the media on the sidelines was very grateful for the milestone achieved. “I want to use this as an opportunity to thank the Almighty Lord and everyone for believing and supporting in the dreams of Smart Innovations. She was very optimistic the award would augment their operations. “In fact, I must say this prize would help us get relevant equipment to enable us to serve our clients timely and better, there is a great need begging for the services of Smart Innovations in society,” she said.
The CEO of NoniHub, Mr. Sumaila Chakurah noted that his outfit was proud to the part of the event since they share a common goal of empowering and supporting young entrepreneurs to thrive.
This Year’s Igniting Dreams was organized with a conference and an excellence awards ceremony to climax it. The Excellence in Business and Leadership Awards which was introduced last year was conferred on 5 outstanding entrepreneurs who are doing extraordinary work in the Upper West Region. This awardee was selected from five categories namely; Agribusiness, Education, Healthcare, Fashion & Tourism, and the Young Entrepreneur of the year.
