YALI Regional Leadership Centre has announced its registration for 2021 West Africa Emerging Leaders
Being a leader gives you a tough responsibility more than you can ever associate with the word Parenting. Leadership involves making sound and sometimes difficult decisions, creating and articulating a clear vision, and providing followers with the knowledge and tools necessary to achieve those goals.
An effective leader possesses self-confidence, innovative thinking, strong communication, and management skills, willingness to take risks and also he must be leave-headedness and reactive in times of Crisis.
To continue to impact these Wonderful virtues in many, the Young Africa Leaders Initiative (YALI) Regional Leadership Centre (RLC) has opened its application for the 2021 West Africa Emerging Leaders program from December 6 to December 31st. YALI Regional Leadership Center is merit-based and open to young West African Leaders who meet its standard requirements. This initiative was launched by the United States government and is a signature effort to invest in the next generation of African Leaders. Young Africa Leaders Initiative (YALI) offers business and Entrepreneurship, Civil society management, Public and management. These offers are put together to promote and inculcate ethical leadership skills by going through the training and leading by example.
Who Should Apply?
Competition for the YALI Regional Leadership Center West Africa is merit-based and open to young West African leaders who meet the following criteria:
Are 18 to 35 years of age at the time of application submission,
Are citizens and residents of one of the following countries: Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Liberia, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, and Burkina Faso.
Are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the U.S.
Are eligible to receive any necessary visa to Ghana, and
Are proficient in reading, writing, listening, and speaking English.
Benefits from the training
At the end of the program, participants will be awarded certificates and become members of the prestigious YALI Alumni
Participants will be taken through various forms of leadership training to prepare them for leadership roles in their various organizations, communities, and countries.
Applicants will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, ethnicity, color, gender, religion, socio-economic status, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity. The management of the YALI Regional Leadership Center, West Africa – Accra reserves the right to verify all information applicants provide during the application process.
